Reading groups present an opportunity for fruitful interdisciplinary conversations regarding the use and benefits of contemplative practices in higher education. Check out what we’re reading now and when we’ll be getting together to discuss what we learned and the questions that remain.

We Were Made for These Times: Ten Lessons on Moving Through Change, Loss, and Disruption
Kaira Jewel Lingo
Kaira Jewel Lingo, former Buddhist nun, draws on her training with Thich Nhat Hanh to provide a practical and inspirational guide for navigating some of life's most difficult experiences. In this experiential reading group, we will discuss the ancient teachings shared and explore practices that can serve as a resource and refuge during times of transition and challenge.
The reading group sessions are spread out to allow time to engage with and reflect on a different teaching and practice each week. There are no assigned readings for the initial session which will instead focus on participants getting to know one another.
All are welcome, whether you're a first-time or experienced meditator!
